About Validator Configurator

Define a CSV schema and generate a ready-to-run validation script in Python, Node.js or Go.

Validator Configurator lets you define the columns your CSV files are expected to have — name, type, required/optional, an optional regex pattern — and generates a real, dependency-free validation script in your language of choice (Python, Node.js or Go) that you paste straight into your own pipeline or CI.

Instead of hand-writing the same required-field and type checks every time you build a CSV import step, define the schema once here and drop the generated script in front of your database load or ETL job.

Category: Developer Tools

Common Use Cases

  • Generating a pre-load validation step for a CSV ingestion pipeline
  • Adding a CI check that rejects malformed CSV exports before they reach production
  • Sharing one canonical schema definition across a Python ETL job and a Node.js API

Key Features

  • Visual schema builder (name, type, required, regex)
  • Generates Python, Node.js or Go — stdlib only, no dependencies
  • Read-only code preview with copy and download
  • Prefill schema from an already-uploaded CSV

Run Schema Detect first if you want a starting point for column types, then refine the schema here and generate the script for your language.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which languages are supported?

Python, Node.js and Go. Each generated script uses only the standard library, so there is nothing to install.

Does it validate my file right now?

No — for in-browser validation of an already-loaded file, use Column Validator instead. This tool generates a script for you to run in your own environment.

Can I start from my CSV's existing columns?

Yes, if a file is already loaded in the app you can prefill the schema builder with its column names.

Built for developers who need the same validation rules enforced outside the browser, in their own codebase or CI.
